Turkey hunting the hard way
I was heading in to town last night and seen a cruiser on the side of the road with no lights on, in front of it was a beautiful Mercedes. I moved to the far lane and looked in to my mirror as I passed and seen a big brown spot on the windshield of the Mercedes. I kinda guessed what happened so I wheeled the truck around and went to the scene.
What I found was a big Tom 3/4 of the way through the passenger side of the windshield, 3 elderly passengers and a cop with his hands full. They were all standing back looking at the "vulture" drooped in a bloody gob hanging on to the passenger seat, corn spread all through the car. My help was welcomed so I pulled the bird out of the windshield for them and gave them all a quick lesson in bird anatomy, cut the legs off it (my son was there too wanting the spurs) and moved on. The cop cut some feathers off and with a smile he moved on too.
I took a few pictures with my camera phone, but have no idea how to get them from the phone to here. It was pretty gory.
I hate to see them go like that
Everyone in the car was fine, the passenger had some bloody corn stuck to her though, they all seemed oddly unaffected by the whole incident.

I can't seem to get the pictures off my phone, but I can email them if someone else wants to try to post them.. My slow internet connection wants nothing to do with the pictures.

When the officer turned his back I asked the guy how fast he was going, he said 90KPH. I agree, circumstances could really change the outcome.
