FOAM FILLING OPTION
FOAM FILLING OPTION
I didn't like the idea of the liquid foam because I wanted to be able to remove it if needed. So I went to the hardware store and picked up some pipe insulation. There is a rubber type and a standard foam type. I figured the rubber type would have way more sound dampening value than the standard type or the liquid type. One 5 foot section was enough to fill all of the voids in the rail[packed tight], the voids in the inside of the forend, and the space under the scope mount. While shaking and tapping on the bow I noticed the top of the forend would make a little noise where it touches the rail. So I rubbed a thin layer of silicone on the insides of the forend and reassembled it. I also trimmed a Simms strip to fit the top of the piece of metal that holds the arrow. I know the deer won't notice the differance but it sure took alot of the twang out my bow. P.S You can add me to the dry fire club.

Sorry about that. I'm shooting an 08 Equinox w/STS,lumizone, GT ll's with brass inserts etc. Pretty much got everything that got good reviews on this forum. And might I say that you guys were right. Excalibur is a quality product and the accuracy is beyond my expectations. Just waiting on a Boo string to top it off.
Welcome to the forum and the DF club.
