Spring tension in arrow hold down device ?

Post by the elf »

How much tension is there supposed to be in the arrow hold down arm?
The tension in mine seems to be extra strong and makes a pretty good
boing when it hits the rail.I know I can silence it with moleskin----but is it robbing me of any speed or performance? Lon. :?: :?: :?:

I keep mine tight enough to hold the arrow when moving through the woods but loose enough it doesn't slap down on the rail, took a long time to get it "just right".
It has no effect on speed, the acceleration is done after the arrow leaves the confines of the hold down.
