Well I left the tree stand last night without that buck that I have been looking for. The PA archery season has finally come to an end (my wife made me say this) To some this may be a disapointment, but for me it was the best archery season of my life. I did not get the big one, but I saw 42 deer this season and I was lucky enough to take 4 doe and pass on many more. I got my 72 year old father in my tree stand and he missed the big one. It was worth seeing him miss it then me get it. I am 38 now and I guess it was payback for all the years he spent letting me get a chance at a deer when I was growing up. ya, It was worth it. I would have waited for the deer to come a few more yards, but he is 72 and got excited and those tree branches just pop out of nowhere. I bought my vortex used from this forum and I learned all I needed to know about it from the folks here. Arrow selection and broad head selection was learned here. I have hunted many years with a horton x-bow and never had the success that I had this year. The quality of the product is amazing at 35yds + and the members here are the best. Even though I do not respond to all the posts, I read daily and the information that is given here is better than any forum I belong to.

A Big Thank you to everyone....................

Congratulations on your enjoyable season. As someone here says 'the memories are in the hunt, the meat is just a bonus' .

Just wait 'till next year!!!

Congrats on a great season. Seeing that many deer is got to be great. Enjoyed reading about you getting your dad out hunting. You both might get a shot at that big buck, yet. I know PA is looking into expansion of crossbows, and hopefully it will happen next year, and you'll both have an even better year.
