Hi All
I have a question.
In southern Ontario, are we allow to bait deers while hunting?
I read info about putting corns for deers and feeders.
But I am not sure whether we can do that. So can sombody give me some helps.
Thanks

If you are thinking about baiting, might i suggest using corn, and than pour molasses on the pile. It works great! both these items you can get at the feed store. I just picked up a 5 gallon pail of molassess for 10.00.
Im pretty happy about finding out about the availability of molassess, since I have been buying "deer feed" at TSC. Dont get me wrong, Deer feed works awesome too, but now I can control how much molassess is mixed. I also pour it on a nearby stumpp. GOOD EATS!! happy hunting.

TSC also sells deer salt licks, I have one off my feed piles, with all the snow feed piles on the ground get buried, I have coffee cans with hole in the top and string in bottom, hanging from a limbs they have to learn to bump the can and more drops outs. I set my trail cam out yesterday so see if I can get you a picture or 2 of them.

When did they change the baiting rules?
I dug this up from the MNR site but there's no mention in the regs anymore. Scroll down 2 thirds of the way down or search for "Question Re: Use of Bait to Hunt"

As it states, it is legal to use bait. Just not for turkeys or waterfowl.Phoenix_Tom wrote:When did they change the baiting rules?
