Just came home from Lebaron.
I called before I go. They said "there is one left". I went right away.
Saw somebody is buying one, I said, "crap... I am late." It turns out that they have 12, sold three, including mine. So they have about 9 left.
Came home, couldn't wait to try it on my exomax.
It is big... feel maybe too big. not as impressed as I expected.
But there aren't alot of other case choices available anyway.
Then I check for the quality. (sorry, it is in a plastic bag, and I made the mistake of not checking it there.) Sewing quality is bad. There is an opening gap that didn't even sew properly, at the top right end of the T.
(my camera can not take close distance pictures, otherwise I will show it to you.)
Have to go back tomorrow to get it exchange, or now considering whether this is a good investment.
You know, I have such high hope and expectation on this new case. But it just not in level with my expecation. (even I am willing to pay a bit more.)
For those who will buy one, please check the quality at the store. Otherwise, you will have to drive again like me.
Hope what i got is just bad luck, instead of a standard.

case
this is y i have my motherin law make our cases all my buddys and i have been uesing tem for years know and we love them.the last one she made for me i had made a littel bigger so i can roll up my coat and put it in the bottom for the walk in it is not that hard to make and the workmanship is top notch DUTCH
I've thought about the new case, but I've held back to see how people like them. Here in Ohio we are not required to carry the crossbow in a case, but I would like a case for bad weather transportation from my truck to the blind. I have one of the old style Excalibur padded cases, but I find the opening across the end is not really all that convinient to use.
Been thinking of having my wife sew me up one shaped like the old style padded case, but with an straight slit opening in the center instead of across the top, and a couple velcro straps to hold it closed. What I'm thinking of would be a slit long enough for the sling on the bow to be exposed and used for carrying, and the velcro straps to keep it closed enough to secure it and help keep rain/snow off.

I have one of the basic sleeve cases with the zipper on the wide end. I find it a bit of a pain to try to stuff the bow in, balance the bow, hold the ends in place while fumbling with the zippers. I'm going to attach some snaps that I can do up in area of the stirrup so that the case will be held in place while I'm zippering over the limbs.
BTW, I've found that with the GroundPounder quiver mount I can leave the quiver on the bow and still get it in the case.

I use two cases:
1) Main storage and transportation - is with a double rife case.
Flambeau model #6490SC. At Canadian tire product # 75-5669-2 $50.
2) Taking the bow into the field - I use the Excalibur Padded case #2300.
I like the idea of folding it up and sitting on it. I blasted it with 3M Scotchgard Fabric Protector before taking it to the field.
(I think the Plano double rifle case # 1532-00 Pro-Max is a better case but I was worried the crossbows stock/rail and bowhead assembly would be difficult to fit in this case due to the moulded in pillerblocks ("pillarlock" prevents the top crushing in) restricting the angle positions I might need to fit the two big parts into the case.
If anyone is using this case with their Excalibur crossbow let the forum know how it fits.)
The Plano # 1118-00 Protector Series Bow Max Arrow case is what I use for arrow/bolt storage and transport

That sucks xhunter. I have the Excalibur padded case and it's top notch - no problems at all with it.
Greenjoy, there was a recent thread about cases people are using. Someone had done a beautiful job with a Plano bow case conversion to show case. It had that pillarblock set up too. The bonus is that the bow case gives you somewhere to but 12 or more arrows. I'll be doing this conversion next time I see the cases on sale.
