Good job on that one.

Sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling when the weather seems to be talking to you..

Nice deer,
it looks like the bolt from the Exocet 165 blew through both shoulders.

Other guys in your neck of the woods have been talking about shedding antlers. Yours look like they were not going anywhere.

Feels good don't it!
Yes his antlers where on there still pretty good, good enough to be drug by them.

Actually that was the exit side, he was slightly quartered away so the entry was about 6" back and a couple inches higher. And I think he jumped the string a little as I was holding on the lower half of his chest and back behind the shoulder just a bit.

Thanks everyone, I am very proud of him, its not every day you get to see deer like him never mind get a shot at one at least in this part of Ontario. I have been very lucky the last few years and taken a few bucks and a couple of them have been dandy's like him. I wish everyone the best of luck the remainder of the season. I still have one tag left but I think I am going to end my season at this guy, its been a tough season and I have put in allot of hours scouting and observing so it is time for some quality family time for the holiday season. Merry Christmas everyone and wish you all the best in the new year :D .
