MeadowBrooke Game Calls - Pro Staff Offer

Post by bucont »

First off I would to thank everyone for the purchases and support you have given MeadowBrooke Game Calls.

As most are aware we will supply a Sky-Boy slate call for this years photo contest on this Excalibur web site.

Also more good news, our proto type box calls are ready to go to the field.

These are not for sale yet, however we are looking for one pro staff to offer us feedback both in the field and out of the field.

These will be offered to the staffer at greatly reduce cost (well below retail price). There are three prototypes and all must go to one person. Plans are to manufacture one maybe two of the calls only. We have a fourth in the works possible for next season as well.

As stated this oppurtunity is for one person only and will be selected in the next week or two. Please email us at callus@meadowbrookegamecalls.com if you are interested. We are looking for a proven seasoned Canadian hunter, so please supply us with some information about yourself, photos, days in the woods per year and what ever else you feel is important.

Thanks in advance.

Adrian is already taken by another game call company . :D
Even though he would be a great person to test turkey calls considering I can remember the days at Pioneer . Boy does that seem so long ago .

The gloves are off! This thread is just like watching a hockey game without all the skating.

As far as the MeadowBrooke call goes, I really had no intention of using it to hunt, I bought it more for a wall hanger. However, I am really enjoying the control of the sounds with slate.
So, that brings me to a question:
How do you maintain slate? I know my plastic calls get a good sanding before each hunt, and sometimes during, but real slate, what maintenance does it require to keep performing well?

Light sanding as well.

We have one too - love it. Really really versatile, and soooo purdy!

Just use a piece of scotch brite pad to condition your slate. You can blow off the dust and you are good to go.

That is correct Kevin, Scotch Brite, fine grit paper or fine steel wool. All will do the trick.

Pick a direction you plan to use the call. I make sure i always sand in one direction, across the face so the call stays consistant.
