York County 3-D shoot ??

Post by Algonquin »

Is any one going to the 3-D shoot this Sunday July 26th. ?

Also is any one familiar with the course? I was wondering what the terrain is like ie flat - steep rocky , wet , dry ? are hiking boots required or will running shoes be ok ?

Very sandy ground, but there are some low areas. Not rocky. The course is well established, all pathways.

It's going to rain all day Saturday probably, and likely Sunday early morning. I'd bring waterproof footwear.

A few up-and-downs, but not severe, but most shots are fairly level.

It's hilly terrain, if you're a billygoat you'll love it. Good workout.

It's not THAT hilly...just the last trudge up to the clubhouse at the end of a long, hot day.

:D Shot it a number of years ago, from top level it is very steep down to the gulley( the wife wanted them to put in rope tows to get you back up) nice but challanging course with some different shots. It should be nice and slippery after a rain on muddy paths.
