WELCOME, Catpower! Been there, Done that. When I got mine, none of the shops hardly carried any Excaliburs. I told them, "you will!". I know that not everyone is going to love the recurve like I do but here's a little fact I don't share on the other forums: My husband bought a TenPoint and on at least 4 occasions he has made the statement "I should have bought an Excalibur".

I would never knock another crossbow company and especially not TenPoint. They make great bows but if both of us accidently dropped our bows out of a tree, I wouldn't be the one crying. Image

Get the Ibex and the nightmare ends, or maybe the Vortex, hmmmm let's see. Just call the guy.

... and don't feel bad about talking Ten Point in an Excalibur forum. I doubt that anyone was offended :)

Thanks to all that responded for the much needed education in crossbows.

I called Dan Miller this morning and have an Ibex on the way set-up with a illuminated scope and all the goodies.

Good choice!
I'm sure you'll be impressed with the accuracy and ease of use of the Excalibur.

I just got my Ibex yesterday. I am more impressed with it now than I was at the bow shop (for some reason it doesn't seem very big). The thumbhole stock on the Ibex fits me really well and the illuminated scope looks great. Hopefully I will get some shooting in on Sunday. I need to get a target yet and some sort of arrow carrier. I did not get a quiver with my bow, because I did not like it all that much.

Hopefully you'll get it together for Sunday and be able to give us a range report Sunday night or Monday.

Good luck!
