My big bucks . . .

Post by sumner4991 »

Just got back from Virginia. I got in a little scouting, but, all I brought back were stories of the big ones being sighted and these pictures. The two fawns were coming into my parents yard to eat the plums and nibble on the rose bush. Mom didn't take kindly to the rose nibbling.

CF . . .I saw enough to make me confident in this year's hunt. 8)

Those two fawns . . .I'm gonna enter them into a synchronized eating competition.

The plums might be good for fawns, but I found a patch of these yesterday.
Team Buckeyes is still in the running.

pawpaws
the deer think they are candy!

I have a few pawpaw trees in my yard, too. No deer here in town (at least not often), but the pawpaws taste a little like bananas. They can be eaten raw when ripe, or used in recipes for treats like banana bread.
