Planter - we have one of those and it works well. It needs to be inserted far enough to work properly. Don't give up on it yet!

That's a fine set of knives but do you have one of these??? I hope not.. This one was a gift to me. I did try it once ( on a deer ) and not only did it feel strangely perverse, it didn't even work. I will trade you straight up for that little boning knife. :)

I would be happy to share the item no cost involved to any forum member who is willing to put it in their day pack. :D
I have taken care of this problem with a folding Slim Traper pocket knife for over 40 years. This probably would help but I am comfortable my way. Also too tight to spend the money. LOL

Looks like you should be able to get the most from the deer you butcher with those tools!

Now -
(amazing how these threads get hijacked )
I think the criminal justice system should look into those devices -

The intended use for this too is to sneak up on a deer, insert tool, 'HANG ON'. New way to harvest. Reuseable. Cheaper than Excalibur and accessories, cheaper than Rifle and shells, and cheaper than shotgun and slugs. Also will be mostly field dressed when it finally falls. Don't forget, 'HANG ON"

That is sold in the hunting section of the sporting goods store?

Man, I thought it might be a new fangled tent stake.

This is a strange, strange world we're living in, or is it just me???
