Scrapes already!??

Post by maximus »

Hi all,was out putting some corn down at 1 of my hunting spots . I decided to got for a walk in the woods to see if my camera had taken any shots.
I noticed a huge scrape(almost walked on it)so I positioned my cam to see what is making it.
Isnt it too early for deer to start scrapes?
thanks,Max

Evidently not. There were several scrapes around the edge of the field that I've been hunting. I used to hang a Ben Lee Tarsal Gland from the overhanging limbs that cover the scrape and had real good luck with it. Of course they don't sell them anymore :? .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

some scrapes get used year round so its never too early.

I found fresh scapes over a month ago about an hour west of TO. I have also seen fresh scrapes while turkey hunting in May. TC
