Equinox Accuracy

Post by bigbuck »

Hi I just bought Carbon express Bolts with the V knocks on then and I can't get them to group very well.
Should Excalibur Bows use flat knocks or does it matter?

You did say Equinox? I also have an Equinox and was having problems with my firebolts and boltcutter broadheads. I did two things:

1st - I refletched the firebolts with 2" blazers and rt helix twist. Using the boltcutters I got a group of 1 1/2" at 40 yards. Big improvement from a 5" group.

2nd- I bought Gold Tip Pro Laser II bolts and some 125 Slick Trick broadheads and also fletched them with 2" blazers with rt helix. I got a group of about 1" at 50 yards. Pretty Impressive.

I should also mention that I shoot a custom made Boo string or one of the Fast Flight Flemish strings with a STS at all times.

Try this, it should help.

excals seem to like the flat knocks best... gold tip laser 2's are a good match for these bows

are you using fieldtips for your grouping tests? Some bheads just wont group well so thats why I ask

I have pretty good group therapy with mine;) but I make my own LOL :D 8)

Welcome to the Forum. I shoot flat knocks out of my Exomax, not sure if thats the problem but a good place to start. I have never had an accuracy problem with my Exomax

hi & welcome to the club l've used v-knocks as well & found that they shoot high & seem to get thrown insted of being pushed if that makes any sence from were my sights were setup for firebolts using flat knocks, so l went back to flat knocks & problem was solved. best regards frank
