this crossbow thing

Post by old fart jim »

just getting started with xbows, shot stick bows for over 40yrs but arthur has a strong hold on my neck and shoulders these days. just visited the excalibur web site and I am very impressed. got to say the excalibur bows realy appeal to me. I'm not a speed freak, never had a problem with good penetration from recurves. think I've got to start saving my pennies and make up my mind which model I want
time in the woods is time well spent

Welcome; glad to have you here; been shooting excalibur for quite some time now and to me there is NONE that even comes close; any model that you choose will be a good one as excalibur doesn't make a "bad" x-bow period; good luck and once again, welcome;

Welcome Jim! There's enough of of ole farts here to start a tornado, lol. You will love your bow, any bow from Excal. Our warranty rep here in the US bends over backwards to solve what minor issues come up, as does the factory up north.

Jim, welcome to the forum.

This old fart is a bit past your age but enjoying hunting anyway when I can. My shoulders and neck are also bad. If they weren't I'd be shooting my recurve or compound but I still enjoy the crossbow. In fact, the longer I have it the better I like it.

btw, I know those Ritis brothers and that Arthur, he is the worst of the bunch.
Keep smiling!
