Biggerst squirrel ever . ..photo added*

Post by sumner4991 »

I just shot the biggest squirrel ever . . .never mind, it was a small doe. Funny how they seem to get bigger the longer you go without seeing one.

I'll post pictures and get a story out later. Got it this morning at 8:30ish and it's already half eat and the other half in the freezer. Yum, yum!! :D

Go team Virginia!

WAY TO GO SCOTT!!!! Sounds like the second one I got. This is the tastiest deer I have ever sunk a tooth in. Had backstrap fried in butter this morning for breakfast.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
At least you got a shot at a deer. I've been using a ladder stand in an oak tree and the squirrels (real squirrels) are all around me every time I hunt, but only one deer in range so far, and I passed on him. (spike buck, and we are limited to one buck/year)

edited to add:
If the tenderloins are that small, just cook them whole and eat them on hot dog buns.

Congratulations Scott. It is always good to put some meat in the freezer.

Thanks for the congrats! It is a tasty one . . .packing a deer sandwich for lunch tomorrow. 8)

Started raining just before dusk tonight and didn't see anything until the ride home. I did see some 3:30p.m. deer today. I have seen NO BIG BUCKS! Maybe tomorrow!

The squirrels have been all over me . . .must be mad about me killing their bigger sister. Seriously, I've had four that almost jumped on me. They back off then up a tree barking.

I am using a slow hook-up when I get a chance her in Va. It's hard to keep up with all the posts. I have a lot of catching up to do when I get back.
