Fun morning hunt

I took my buddy hunting this morning. He's bowhunted quite a bit but hasnt harvested one yet. We had picked him out a spot in my area last week. We got in before daylight and had high hopes. A little past daylight a small yearling comes in close to me, eating acorns. Since I already got meat in the freezer, I decide to pass on the shot. An hour or so later I see a big doe and another yearling but never got a clean shot on the doe. My next visitor is a big coyote and I get a good broadside shot on him. Recovered my bolt later and its covered in blood/hair. Wasnt able to locate him and didn't want to spread human scent around too much. My final visitor of the morning was a beautiful bobcat. He musta smelt me and didnt come very close but circled around me. I wasnt going to try and take him anyway. I had a good morning, but my buddy didnt see anything except squirrels. We was probably 200yards apart but had totally different hunts. I'll be back out there for the afternoon and maybe just maybe I'll get a welcome wagon again.
