I'm in the same boat. Hard to keep my feet warm. I use the toe warmers. My boots are probably two sizes too big, if they are tight, your feet will freeze. I use the wick away thin socks as a first layer, then a pair of wool socks and then the toe warmers.

Works great below 30 degrees F. Otherwise, it's too hot. Below 15 degrees . . .I stay in doors. :D
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Seems like you have a good combo.Just make sure they are not to tight.I use a rocky 1000 gram boot and go to walmart and buy those heatpack insoles not the little squar ones the insolesw that stick to the bottom of your sock and trust me that is the end of the cold feet problem!!!!!!! :D

I have Nuropathy in both feet and legs and they stay cold.
I have some Ice Breaker boot blankets or insulated boot covers.
I take my boots off(I wear size 16 and they are hard to find so most of my boots are to small) and put hand warmers in the boot blankets and put my feet in.It helps a great deal for me.
I dont use them much down here but up north I do.

I,ve heard the Mickey Mouse or Bunny boots are great

cold feet

Bass Pro Shops sells socks with pouches sewn over the toe area for the handwarmers. Works great.

It is hard to beat a good felt pack, but it is getting more difficult to find real felt any more. Seems they want to use the synthetic stuff which they say is better. I still think the felt is much better as long as you dry them each night as they will soak up any sweat from the feet. Dry them overnight and there is no problem.

I also like the liner sock under a wool sock and I do not hesitate to use the toe warmers once the temperature gets down below freezing.

When there is snow, I like the Cabela Saskatchewan Pac Boots. They look too big and clumsy but once you wear them you will find they are really easy to walk in and not clumsy at all. These are the pac boots that Iditarod rider Jeff King helped to develop. I see they now have them in Scent-lok too.[/url]

I like lightly insulated boots (200 - 400 gm thinsulate) that are light weight, and buy them a size or two too large. With good heavy wool socks over lightweight silk socks on my feet I have little problem with cold feet.

I hate cold feet.

I have been wearing the Rocky Bear Claw, 1000gr. insulation, with moisture wicking socks as the first layer and then Bass pro wool socks as the second layer of socks.

I buy my boots a size larger to give me plenty of room for socks and circulation. My boots are too loose without the heavy socks. You don't want your boots tight on your feet.

Try to keep your boots dry even if they are gortex

Don't cramp your feet in a boot. The others have good advice. Have enough room for a light pair and heavy pair of socks. Your feet are sweating and need room to "wick" the moisture off.
