How about tallow?

Just wondering how much fat/tallow has been on your deer this year? On the doe I took last weekend there was not one bit of tallow

None, Nada, ziltch. This is out of an area with mostly hay fields and hard woods, but no oaks, beech etc....mostly maple and balsam.

Now this was a good size doe too. Just seemed kind of weird.

harvested a 6 point yesterday and loaded with fat!!

The deer I killed in Indiana had quite a bit of fat in her abdominal cavity.

Both the deer i took were loaded with fat gobs of it all over

The deer here seem to have less fat than they have the past few years, but they still have a fair amount to trim off.

the two does that i shot in north missouri had looks of fat way more than last yr
