Cossack I certainly would not disagree with you on this point. But I am thinking that with bear, being as dark as they are, that maybe a luminated crosshair would be beneficial. Then you wouldn't lose the crosshair against the bear.

when in dark hemloks and dark spots like a black bear,the red crosshairs will definatly help as long as it isnt to dark out.works very well in this case.also a deer in hemloks like i hunt works well.i would often put the crosshairs on ,just to see the difference.the lighted crosshairs worked best for this
