We see growths on fish when where spearfishing up north western australia (of industrerial pipes) just like these id say there near or been feeding near industrial areas .Or there big ticks wich usually hit a feed on the weak , nature weed out the weak.

The only tick I ever saw was on a rabbit. Took me a while just to figure out what it was. Then the light bulb went on.

Don't think I'd take kindly to them in large numbers.

Bet i have pulled a hundred off of me this yr. working on our place. Some days had 4 or 5, not counting those that hadn't dug in i caught on the move. I would throw them into our open pit fire & listen to them pop!

When the ticks host body temps fall below a certain degree ticks back out to seek a live warm-blooded donor.

On the rare ocassion that I hang a deer I spray the floor with Permerthrine. Lots of dead ticks on the floor. It is really a matter of self preservation. My wife parks in the garage.

Does having 1000 ticks on a deer not make you not want to eat it???

My thoughts exactly.GROSS
Sad to see this influx, although all the deer I saw were prime, I have seen what ticks can do to moose.
