Bear hunting!

Just wondering has anyone hunted Bears in the town of Wilberforce,near Bancroft?
I have a friend who tells me I can get permission for next years bear hunting season.Just want to know if anyone knows anything about the population of bears in that area and or if anyone has hunted them in that area?
Although I have recently picked up some property in another area but you can never have enough hunting property!

Lots of bears up there my cottage was on Clement lake rd and in the early mornings heading over to Elephant lake to fish I would see bears.
