This is classified a blizzard, this is 35/40ft bambo bent over, got another 8or 9 hrs of it coming down , worst part is it won't kill the first mosquito

Bet you guys are real believers in "global warming" right about now......

I was stationed at Quantico, about 40 miles outside of DC in the late 70's when a "noreaster" came thru, dumping about 6 inches. Everything went immoble for 3 days.
Wish you all the best of luck, and hope your power remains on. Snowfall amounts like that are even hard to deal with here in Michigan.

not sure about normal but I dont mind the snow... the bad thing is that its a noreaster now and winds are gusting 40-50mph. We dont expect to have power much longer Trees are starting to go down

DC has had 30inches so far with more to come. We are up to about a foot here, would have had more but it changed to rain and packed the first 6 inches

let is snow, but the hurricane winds arent helping

w ehave 4 ft drifts here now... plowing roads is pointless since he covers back up just as fast as you plow. Im leaving the plow in the shed till tomorrow

its finally stopped snowing

We got 30" before it stopped. Drifts to 4 ft also. Now it goes down to 8 degrees F, freezes it all rock hard and immoveable! Ain't life grand?

Didn't have school all last week, don't expect to have school all next week either. Another snow storm coming Tuesday, Wednesday. Even with no more snow, the temps will be below freezing all week. The secondary roads and such haven't even had a hint of being cleared. Yup, another week with no school!

my kids are happy to miss school, but they will have to make up the 2 weeks missed this summer which sucks. 80% of the days kids could have went. My dad had to walk to school in the school LOL. But with lawsuits these days the schools cant risk it.

I know they wont go monday and tuesday... as you said another 3-6inches are forecasted mid week. Va has become the north pole now

I went to university in New Brunswick where it was not uncommon to have 4ft of snow accumulated by Feb or March. I have never complained about snow since . Buy some ski gear or a snow mobile and enjoy it.

Hope the hydro stays on for you! Here in hamilton I can still see blades of grass sticking through the snow. If its going to be freezing cold might as well have snow with it! The snowmobile has done nothing but sit so far this year. Abnormaly low snowfall this year so far but it sounds like everyone else is getting hammered.

when will it end?? We are getting another blizzard today... winds gusting 35-45mph and snowing sideways

We got 14-16 inches the other day, and my guess is we have gotten 6 more today.. We cant go without snow for 3 days here We had a good 1inch of sleet and then freezing rain last night also
