Loctite Superglue upgrade?

Post by Michael Stogre »

Just purchased the latest version of the loctite superglue. It's called utra gel, and the
package states that it "withstands daily use and harsh conditions. Resists: impact, shock,
vibration, heat, cold, moisture etc." So basically it is the loctite version of the gorilla glue
impact formula which I have been using presently for fletching arrows. So what's the
advantage? It comes with a smaller diameter nozzle and side grips for far better control
when applying the glue especially to the base of vanes like the Blazers.

For a time we actually transferred gorilla glue to the loctite dispenser with good results.
But now I am free of this hassle. they recommend that we leave the bond undisturbed
for ten minutes and let it cure for 24 hours.

I bought the ultragel at the new Walmart in Sudbury, Ontario, for 6.95 + tax.

Hope this will be of interest to all you fletchers out there!

The superglue ultra gel works fantastic on carbon but I fin superglue ultra is a bit more runny but is better on aluminum shafts Both great product!

Good to hear that the glue works well on both carbon and aluminum arrows. Hopefully more
fletchers will report in with their results once this glue gets better known
