Re: targets
Hallo again, I am Ingo, the new dude on the forum, yeah the one with the 8$ Rag bag.....I agree with "sumner" I now keep my broadheads (Muzzy 125gr) in their box as I found that they shoot exactly the same as the field points on all distances from 10 feet right up to 50. I tested this even in a cross wind of about 5 to 10 knots and still no differences. So, save your Broadheads and keep 'em sharp for when it really counts. I use Easton Powerflights with the 125 gr Field points and Muzzy Broadheads. The total being about 425gr Bolts. My Ibex pushes them out at just below 300fps but with sligtly more ftp energy hitting power. Had my Ibex since March this year, but been shooting longbows and crossbows for about 40 years.....BUT: Ibex by Excal is best nothing compares...except perhaps another Excal.....
Ibex, Easton Power Bolts, Three Blade Muzzies 125gr
Re: targets
Shot it some more & it is accurate but I'm not sure if it's any more accurate than my old PSE was. Unfortunately I'd get the police called on me for firing it at my home in town; apparently most of you don't have that problem (lucky dogs).
To people who complain about how loud this bow is....you should have heard how loud my old PSE Foxfire II was, it makes this Vortex sound almost silent by comparison!
