Can I upgrade limbs on 99 exomag?
I have a 1999 Exo-Mag with 185 lbs carved tip limbs. Can I upgrade to heavier new style limbs say 225 lbs limbs? Thanks in advance, Book

There is only one set of limbs in use today. The same limbs are on all newer bow. You will get a couple of ft/sec with a Dacron string and the ability to use strings with modern material the will give you a good increase of arrow speed along with lots more noise. But dry-fires with those strings can be a disaster.

So I could swap my 185 lb carved tip limbs for 225 lb limbs? I was not sure if the limbs would fit, but it looks the same. Thanks

Yes, but the limbs are the same poundage from the Vixen to the Exomax. The only difference between the bows is the stroke or rail length.

g'day without a doubt, but why, also the forward mounted riser gives more poundage as well on the new models, on the main frame of your exomag theres a bee's dick in diffrence to a modern 225 lb excalibur main frame in the length. regards frank

Hey Book
You can swap your limbs but it won't give your bow anymore poop.
What it will give you is more options for string type which will be a huge advantage.
Or just keep them and get Boo to make you a string that will work with your carved tip limbs.

There are no 225 lb limbs as Boo said. They're all the same on each model with mag-tip & carved-tip. The latter uses only dacron stings the mag-tip the newer material. All rails can interchange in the model & stock design. Meaning if yer model is a regular stock only rails machined fer them will fit. No swapping from regular to Thumbhole without cutting & drilling ter rail. There are 3 types of risers cast-machined straight & machined forward
