Moultrie 30 gallon feeder

Does anyone use this feeder?How is the quality?How long will it run on a 6 volt battery?Any info would be appreciated.Stan

I have the "EZ Fill" version of the 30 gal. When I first got it, I had it running twice a day for 12-15 seconds. After 2 or 3 months, the battery was still showing 100% charge. I changed the timer to run once per day for 15 seconds and the battery went another 4 or 5 months before reading 25% charge, where they recommend re-charging. I got mine from Sportsmans Guide.

Same here. I use the rechargeable and don't need to change it for the month thta I have it out there. One blast per day on smallest feed setting works for me. Have to replace the corn about every two weeks.

One thing to remember is that during the cold months that battery life gets used up quicker than normal unless of coarse you're using a rechargeable battery.
