lumenok v/s fire nock
Has anyone used both of these nocks yet? I have used lumenok for awhile and was wondering if anyone knew was one brighter than the other. I know the firenock is more expensive and costly but i was wondering whether or not they are worth the money??

Re: lumenok v/s fire nock
Turtleman,
A few years ago, I tried to use Lumenocks and they worked most of the time. Because of their possible inconsistency in the field, I discarded them and switched to Firenocks.
In over 400 practice and hunting shots, I have never had a Firenock fail to activate.
Yes, Firenocks are more expensive. It is sort of like saying, you can pay half as much and they work half the time or you can pay twice as much and they work every time.
When my first Firenock allowed me to recover my first two arrows that were buried in the leaves, it paid for itself and I have been operating free from then on. In the last three years, I have paid for my Firenocks several times over in recovered arrows also.
These little pin batteries only have a 12 to 24 month shelf life. With the Lumenocks that I was once using, when the battery went, I threw all my money in the trash. With my Firenocks, the $3.00 batteries are replaceable and I still have most of my money to hunt with again year after year.
Like my little Vixen, Firenocks also have a lifetime warranty against defects.

Turtleman,
Give Dorge a call at 708-267-0474 and ask him about 2216's.
I am sure that he does, he can fit any vertical or crossbow arrow sold in the US.
Please give him my best.

Re: lumenok v/s fire nock
Firenock C and F are both rated off the package to fit as big as 2219. Can the 2216 fit too? The short answer is yes. You just need to order the custom set of O-rings for that, you need to call me to see how many I still have as it is not a standard package I sold.
What is the down side of that? We only make extreme shock end cap to as big as 2219. So if your bow is over 365 fps or you use hard targets like spider web, 400 fps, Firenock will not work may be 100 shots before it breaks.

Are they being sold in Canada or would it be best to order off the website?

Bowster,
I order mine via phone (708-267-0474) direct from Dorge, that way I know that I am getting the correct nock and size of 'O' rings for the arrows that I am shooting.

Actually Luminox work pretty well on aluminum arrow. It's the carbon ones that don't conduct electricity as well causing consistency problems. And they don't work at all on arrow with fiberglass.
