Wyvern Creations Mount
I ordered the Wyvern Mount. The instrctions say to mount the adapter on the dovetail. My 2005 Exocet does not have a dove tail. I do have 2 drilled and tapped holes in the riser, but the adapter does not fit the holes. Is there any other options to attach this mount?

Do a search for a groundpounder mount, very secure and very well made. He is a member here who designed a mount utilizing those two holes, worth looking in to.

The Ground Pounder mount is GREAT. I have had mine for several years and would never go back. This topic has a picture of one.

I have a Grounder Pounder Mount. I did not like loading the arrow between the mounting posts. The Wyern Mount you can load from the side.
Re: Wyvern Creations Mount
Danny Miller also makes a quiver mount that you might to look into.

Talk to David and he will get you squared away. He has a dovetail mount that will screw into those two threaded holes on the riser.

What Horizontal said..........
David will absolutely get you squared away. Give him a shout.
I have his topside mount and with no disrespect to the others, this seems to be the best option for getting your arrows off the bottom of your bow.

The older Excaliburs used a dovetail sight base that screwed on the riser.
PM me with your mailing address and I'll send it to you.
I happen to have the one pictured. PM me with your mailing address and I'll send it to you.

This is my set-up as well. Again, with no disrespect to the other styles, this mount does not interfere with loading your arrow, is very low-profile, and does not impede aiming the bow, or your view looking down sights or thru a scope. It weighs mere ounces, and makes for acquiring your next shot out of the quiver very easy.

Re: Wyvern Creations Mount
I have one of Davids, bought it for my wifes Ibex, it didn't last long on the bow. The thing I could never get past was the symmetry of the bow, having something off set on any of my firearms causes a loss of sleep. That is part of the reason the original came off as well. I went from the factory mount to a hip quiver to a Groundpounder. Once you get past having to load the arrow through the uprights, which is only once on a hunt, it is the strongest mount out there. Where we hunt the path can get pretty thin, I couldn't begin to say how many times I have had to use my bow to push through bush, quiver and all, the wyvern mount would still be laying there. From truck to stand, it is a fine option, but not all of my hunts involve paths. So no disrespect taken, but there are different situations where other mounts will excel. For me strength and symmetry won.See4miles wrote:This is my set-up as well.
