BUT ONE THING WORRIES ME IT SOUNDS LOUD COMPARED TO A COMPOUND IS THAT NORMAL OR IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO QUIET IT DOWN. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.

It's normal for them to be loud.
You can quiet then down some, but they'll never be silent.

There are a few things that will help.
STS string dampers are one option that doesn't hurt velocity.

Noise is normal. It shocks every new crossbow owner, especially if their compound users as well. It will not have a negative effect while deer hunting although there is things you can do about it. Buy a string with whiskers and a string stopper.

This will be some sage advice i give out, if the noise bothers you put set of ear plugs in yer ears. Yer Bow is 30 fps faster than mine & i have killed a semi truck full of deer using Excals Bows. Its all good just watch fer a non alert tick toter & shoot it

I just got my axiom. The noise was less than expected, but I checked the STS system. How do they attach? Mention something about double mount for Excal CB?

Does the STS keep the string from going past the arm tips and viberating after the shot?

This is the only pic I have they mount through the two holes in your riser
My bow shows them with an above the bow quiver mount attached with them.

Wait for the Excalibur string stopper. It will be worth the wait.

If you think it is loud compared to a compound, what about us guys who used to shoot recurves and longbows? As for me, I do nothing to the bow; not even string silencers as they are not necessary. Just shoot. The noise may bother you but not the deer.
Keep smiling!

I've got a new Ibex as well and before that had a quad 300 it's now my back up xbow. Don't worry so much about the noise, the deer don't know what hit them.

Are you handy? These, made from corner brackets, stick-on Limbsaver pucks and elevator bolts, on on '08 Phoenix..
