Cool September breeze today ...

Low skies / overcast and a nice cool September breeze today ...

My wife and I decided to take an afternoon drive North , to scope out a goose field , for Thursday's early season opener ...

Many hard working Menonnite Farmers are already harvesting corn ...





One of my favorite farms , had a 1st row cut that made it easy to do some perimeter scouting in the rain ...



Got a new climber tree scoped out for Oct 1st ...



Lot's of tasey leftovers ...



Not many birds flying this afternoon , but I did find a field that a few birds started to filter into , on my way home ...



And the drizzling rain , brought on a cool rainbow .



Good luck to all that head out later this week for the early geese ... And October 1st can't come quick enough !!

Getting pumped about the season as well. The bow season starts here in NS on Sept 25th. I will have to pull out the Mathews because they don't allow crossbows in the archery season yet.

Man that really is some beautiful country up your way, looks like prime wildlife country. We have had a week of nice cool weather down here in Alabama, several nights in the 50s, wont be long.
