This thread is making me miss my Phoenix ... :(  and dad now shoots the Vixen...

Even though I shoot a Bowtech compound bow now, I still come back to this forum because this place is almost like a second family. I feel like I would take the shirt off my own back for anyone here in need and I believe you all would do the same for me...

Like I said though, this forum has so many nice folks around here, and sadly... Many great people have left us also. It really says something here though that even though they were just some person from an online forum, they really aren't just "some person". They've all meant something to us. Either we've met them and shared conversations with them in person or over the phone, or just learned a lot from them on this forum. I'd say were all friends here. Heck I've even taken life advice from some here, and there are many people here I can say I look up to.

I've owned 2 Excalibur Crossbows in my life and everything I ever learned about crossbows mostly came from here. I wish I never sold my Excals but I love my compound way too much to give it back up lol. But I know for certain if I ever have they money to get another crossbow again you can bet it will be another Excal. I consider myself loyal to this company and mostly everyone I know that bowhunts owns an Excalibur.

I hope Excalibur and it's community never fades away!

In all honesty this will be my first bow season, and I have always wanted to shoot a crossbow. So on my journey to purchase one I watched all the videos and read a ton of articles about Horton(hears a whos) and the PSE's and the 10 points and never ever heard of Excalibur. And on Valentines day of this year I did what every loving boyfriend should do and took the girlfriend down to Cabela's for the weekend to look at CB's. I looked at all of them that were priced under $400 and never noticed the Excal's and 10 points until I started to shoot them. I shot the mid-priced top three and almost walked away because they were so in accurate, heavy, and loud to the point of being obnoxious. Then this little old man stepped up to bat with a Phoenix as I took aim with said CB and the only thing I heard was the bolt slamming the target up against the bolts I had previously fired. I was shocked and asked him where he was aiming and he says "For your arrows"... The clerk said that’s enough boys... So I put down that bow and said I'll have what he's having... I am so glad I got to see one in action like that because I was so close to buying a much less useful CB... Now it's Excalibur or my Winchester that will drop my deer, I have no need for any other brand. Now I know why Excalibur doesn't have to advertise their product, they don't need to... And thank you to all the members of this forum, very friendly and very helpful...
The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea, they are given into your hands. Gen 9:2

I like to buy one of whatever I'm needing and use it until it wears out. I have two Excals . . .waiting for them to wear out and I'll trying to push that process along as much as possible . . .it's going to be a while.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Never had anything other than an Excalibur.
My first was an Exocet with the carved limbs that I bought new and owned for what seemed like forever.
Never had a single problem with it...not once! :)
Sold it last year to buy a Vortex simply because I really found the thumbhole stock to be very comfortable.
Haven't owned it for a full year yet but so far it's been trouble free and it gets used pretty regularily. No surprise there either!! :)

Xcal is the only cb that I have ever owned, done a lot of research before buyinga crossbow. Excal in my research came out number one for my use. The bigest reason is user frindly, I can do what ever it needs myself. If your hunting an it needs a string I can put it on myself. Compound take it to the shop. Warranty is great crack a limb last year my fault it was on a Sat. when I got home that night I call Mr. Dan in Ohio he had my limbs at my door Tuesday, that is servise I don't care who you are. Been xbowing for about five years now never had a problem out of my xomax ....... IT TAKES CARE OF ME AN I TAKE CARE OF IT..............

I have owned and taken deer with 5 different brands of Crossbow. I have hunted with crossbows for 22 years , long before Excalibur's were invented. They all got the job done, some more pleasurable than others. I like my Exocet far more the all the other brands put together. I sent my trigger to the Trigger Wizard and had terrible withdraw symptoms being without the ability to hold and Caresse my tried and trusted bow. I got my trigger back yesterday and she has not been out of my sight since. I have shot her 65 times since being reunited and it has been a humbling experience. As I caress the smoothness of the trigger and the arrow flies true to the intended POI I realize the truth. I will never be without an Excalibur as long as I live.

:) My biggest problem is I can`t take all the kids out to play . :)
I plan on letting my nephew borrow one to try for his first calf moose . Maybe some of the Doemaster voodoo will get him a cow calf .
