Stalking moose with crossbow

Unfortunately my hunting group was unsuccessful for an archery tag for a bull moose this year but I still brought out my Excalibur Equinox in case an opportunity presented itself. While driving in to a clear-cut area where we have a camper set up as an outpost for gun hunting, we saw a cow and calf moose about 75 yards into the cut. We continued driving around a corner to get out of sight of the moose where I got out my crossbow, quickly changed into camo clothing and took to the bush to get close to these animals. I got to within 150 yards of the moose and they crossed the road about 100 yards from where my friend was standing. Has anyone had any success stalking either a cow or calf moose (the calf was the only one I had a tag for). Just curious.

The last calf I harvested dressed out at 138 pounds.

that's all....how old was it ....i'm looking at a guide that has calf tags that say up to a year old to be used on....i'm sure a year old calf weighs more then 138 pounds....i'm compairing then to a whitetail deer .........bob
