Proper Exocet string

Post by NORTH HUNTER »

I have an old Exocet with the carved limb tips (old style). I bought a string a
few years back and was wondering if it is the proper one for my bow? The
string is alternating black and green with a reddish orange serving. Needs a
lot of twists to get the same brace height as my old strings.
Thanks

Not sure about the serving because it varied a lot back when but it sounds like you have a Dacron Flemish string aka Excalibur Super string which is the best string for your bow.

g'day, excalibur part no. 2097 super flemish string is the one to suit your carved tip exocet first set your brace height at about 2 inches from where your riser meets the main frame because it will stretch quickly because there are no lines on it l'm not a 100 0/0 sure the exact measurement. best regards frank p.s its a great string & will give you many hours of great shooting time l use them on my old carved tip exomags & they are awesome much like a boo string very similar in quality so far from 1 string l must have shot at least 500 shots & it still has the serving intact
