Serving - Is This the Beginning of the End?

Post by CDN Taxman »

Noticed this on my serving last night. Seems to be way beyond where the rope cocker would be pulling.

Not sure what to do with it, I lit a match and burned it back down to the serving again.

Is this the beginning of the end?

It seems like an odd place to have it happen, did you think it got knicked by a broadhead?

No I don't think so. I think this is the spot where it was originally trimmed and singed. Maybe because it got wet it started getting loose?

Or whoever trimmed it inadvertently cut into one of the coils. Paint it with some fingernail polish for now but I'd be lookin' to reserve or a second string. I make my own (Flemish) and rotate at least 3 pre-stretched strings so serving never really get bad. At fist sigh of trouble it gets re served. 3 re serves and it's retired.
