Is this normal? (New Exocet and flemish string)

Post by timbikeride »

My Exocet came in today and I put a new Excalibur flemish string. The loose ends have frayed from the stress of shooting. Do I need to burn the ends or is this fraying normal and no threat to the integrity of the string?

That's not only normal, its preferred. No need for string leeches on that string. :) Every FFF string I use on my ExoMax looks much the same.

You don't have to do anything to it.
