how to clean a xbow

Post by bcmuledeer »

just been reading the wax issue, seen a mention of (crud) getting in trigger. I have the vortex. how do you go about cleaning it and how often, seen nothing in user manual about cleaning. I own alot of rifles, do my own reloading, strip them down every fall after hunting season, clean them throughly and lube them up. i'm sure a xbow is slightly different.

For me the deck gets wiped down with a rag that I spray with silicone, the bolt heads get a drop of Remoil to prevent rust, and I will use the air compressor to blow it out real well if I get caught in the rain.
