Rage for Crossbow

Post by vrodman »

Has anyone saw or used the Rage for crossbows? I saw them today at Gander. Just curious. They had them in 100 and 125gr. Orange 1.75 cut.

They were just released a few weeks ago as a 2011 introduction. Not in time for the 2010 deer season.

Haven't seen 'em but I will most likely be sticking with my Rage 2.0's.
They have worked great for me so far. :)

Nobody mentioned boltcutters, you might be in the wrong thread. The BC's work fine.

I meant why use a 100gr or 125gr broadhead from a different company, when you can use everything excalibur? excalibur carbon bolts with excalibur boltcutter heads. why do people mix n match different brands?

Excalibur carbon bolts with excalibur boltcutter heads are proven preformers in the field. I currently use Gold Tip carbons, Excalibur used them in their lineup before the current Firebolts. Excalibur also provides Aluminum arrows for those who want to use them.

Another reason I use the Gold Tip is because I can build them to suit my personal taste and spend the extra time to weigh and tune the components to my specifications. The factory option does not allow this fine tuning.

I suggest using the best broadhead that performs best using your set up. There are many broadheads on the market that will preform well out of the Excalibur other than the boltcutter.
You will notice many types of broadheads being used with success by the forum members here.

The successful combinations out there are numererous. Excalibur made it easy with their package and it works

Ahh the Doghouse, what a nice place eh!
Been there many times after a day of spending on Excalibur.

Bizroworld: as enormous states, he can manipulate his gold tips to suit his purpose's.
I manipulate 8 or 9 different arrows to suit excailbur fan's needs. Great fun!! All of them
will work perfect for Excal bows when complete.

As for the Rage Broadheads, I use the 2"in. 100 gr. for my Compound vert's.
But not for my Crossbows, only SlickTricks right now, tried lots though.
But I may try those orange crossbow ones.
Phoenix - 375 gr. BEE's (babyneilsons)
