O/T Rained & washed out!

Post by vixenmaster »

Hey reckon i am lucky to still have internet service. Its been raining fer 5 days now & 12 inches or more of rain. Washed our newly dozed drive road out & the county roads to pavement now are history. Have over half dz. complete water cut ditches washed acrossed the roads. Only big tired jacked up true 4WD can get out of here. Our cabin's wooden foundation is washing away & cabin is sunk 4 or 5" down & not lvl anymore. Ground even with rocks is too soft to jack it back up with my two 4 Ton bottle jacks. No rain tomorrow in forecast but the 3 days in a row again. Sure glad i am still kicking & no tornado's got us.

Land of the rocks, eh?

Hope it dries out for you. Those twisters were bad news . . .had some bad stuff come through Atlanta over the last couple of weeks too. , but, not nearly as bad as you have gotten.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

We read a small town of 3800 above Little Rock Ark. no longer is there. Tornado wiped it out real quick, Belonia was the towns name about 200 south of here. I have lots of rocks showing now every step you make all sizes from tiny to several hundred pounders. Well cabin is jacked up and set back, but were going to move it farther up the ridge where its not such an incline. Were going to pour 4 concrete pires fer each corner to sit on lvl'ed

Hey Mike,
Just seen your post and am glad you are both okay. Glad to hear the cabin is set back up. Take care my friend and be safe.
