I know there was a thread recently dealing with scratches appearing at the nock end of arrows, but I'm not sure which. Anyway, it prompted me to look closely at my arrows. Most do show light scratches, but very light, all except one.
I have no idea what caused the damage shown, I'm pretty sure I did not come close to "Robin Hooding" four times.
Has anyone else seen this type of damage and would anyone care to suggest what might have caused it?

Almost robin hooding caused that. Toss that arrow because the carbon is damaged.

No longer 'shoot for groups' for that reason, not just expensive but dangerous. Had a compound bow disassemble from a partially cracked (plastic) nock that I overlooked.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
