Blazer X2 vanes

Post by arnettjd10 »

before i bought these i tried looking everywhere for reviews with them on crossbow bolts but really couldnt find any, i think because they are a pretty new product that alot of people havent tried them yet. So i went out today and shot them for the first time. Im using a Equinox with Goldtip Laser II bolts with 110 gr brass inserts and a 100 grain fieldtip. At 50 yards i shot a one inch group. Idk if theses vanes shoot better than others because today was the first time i have shot my new Excal. But i am definetly happy with the performance of this combination and the vanes exceeded my expectations. I will be using mechanical broadheads to hunt with so im not worried about how the vanes fly with broadheads.

That's awesome results. I'm going to in the near future start building my own arrows and I will definitely keep these vanes in mind. I like mechanicals better but I'm going to play with some different things next year just for the fun of it. I feel there is a human factor in performance so I've found that you have the best idea when you compare things against yourself. But it's great to get leads on different products.

Some mechanicals work some don't. Ones that open from the strong surge of the crossbow don't. NAP Spitfires have not let me down.

X2

What ever you decide to use test it out of your xbow before taking it on a hunt to ensure that the broadhead doesn't open prematurely.
