Grim Reaper Whitetail Special

Post by arnettjd10 »

Ive finally decided that i am going to try the Grim Reaper Whitetail Specials this year. With my Equinox shooting 350 fps i should be able to get away with a large cutting diameter broadhead such as this one. I know alot of people have used Grim Reapers with great results but has anybody used the Whitetail Specials yet? Has anybody else decided to give them a try this year?

I don't know of anyone using them. I do like those and want to try them or maybe the Vortex as soon as I run out of Stricknines.

I can assure you that the Exomax can handle a 2" cut.

Good Luck!

I tried them last year for this one doe. They came open off the bow with me. So i added a band low on the blades and had no more trouble.

Everytime I see this picture, I can't tell which way to the head. Does anyone else have that issue? The crossbow limb makes the body look like a neck . . .anyway, it's an illusion I could do without.

Scott, a true huntsman wouldn't have any problem telling which way is which. Does that mean you're not a good ole country boy?

Even I, who's been a City Slicker all my life, know the difference between heads and tails.

If it came down to looking at the direction of the hair, then you had trouble too.

Head, tail . . .it's all the same when it hits the ground.

I didn't have any problem differentiating. I was just saying for those who were somewhat :? confused :?, then the hair would point (pun intended) them in the right direction.

I'm not sure why they opened. Unless it has to do with how long the blades are. I shot the GR crossbow BH's and they never opened.
