Purchase of used Exocet question

Post by Pigfoot63 »

I am very new to crossbows. I have a new Vortex which I'm very happy with.
Trying to help a buddy find a good used crossbow. He found a Exocet 200. My question is what to look for. Do these have the same limbs as the Vortex. Can they use the flemish string. The man who owns it say's string is worn and I would like to put my spare on before we shoot it. Thank's Leroy

Make sure it doesn't have carved tips (vs mag tips like yours) in which case it takes a different string.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

Not quite. The bolt hole pattern on T hole stocks/rail are different too. IOW, you can't put a T hole stock on a pistol grip rail or vice versa.
