arrows/broadheads for vortex

Post by thumper »

I'm hopefully gonna get my new Vortex tomorrow! Wondering what arrow head combo to shoot. My limit is 30 yds. Wondering if I want aluminum or carbon, fixed or mechanical, or feathers or vanes. I was kinda leaning towards aluminum and spitfires and 4" feathers. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! I have also thought about 3 or 4 blade muzzys. I sure would like some opinions on all this, thanks alot guys. . . and gals, yall know more than me about this, I'm new to crossbows.

There's a ton of combinations out there that work well. I have a Vortex and I'v had excellent performance with Firebolts with brass inserts, 3" Fusion vanes and Rage 2 broadheads. Total weight is 450 gr.

Accurate and very deadly!!
