I use a scope, but if my eyes were younger the factory sights would work fine. The only problem with a red dot sight is the batteries can fail.

How is that sight working for you? It looks nice on the bow.

I keep thinking of doing the same, going back to factory sights. At one time I could traget shoot out to 50 yards. But with the need to tinker I tried a scope and played with that. But now I have the itch to tinker...........

I use a scope to make up for bad eyes. :) I have used a red dot works good early morning or late evening. It is hard to see the red dot during the rest of the day (sunlight) :( Wabi talked about batterys, make sure to shut them OFF.

Using open sights depends totally on your vision. I'm losing mine...thank God for scopes! Gary

Have only shot it a couple of times but it is holding zero very well.I only just put it on in Oct after filling my tag.
It gathers light in low light condition, I can see the pins right at legal shooting time( that was a clear sky no clouds)
It is bulky but not that heavy

It's a scope all the way for me. I have good eyes, but prefer the magnification of a scope, the fine adjustment, and sight advantage the scope gives in very low light.

Nothing wrong with open sights if your eyes will do it for you. Mine will not so I shoot with a scope.

Started with a Varizone and switched to a Shadowzone this year for the lighted reticle.

Scope. I've gotten used to shooting with scopes on the majority of my rifles and my turkey gun, so I just remain consistent.

Plus, my eyesight is crap!
