have you ever thought of making your own strings . i started a couple years ago making my own .i don't sell them but like the idea of shooting my bow with arrows and strings i made myself .i started myself by building my own string jig and have sold jigs to a few guys here .it's not hard to build endless loop strings with a little practice .i started making stick bow strings then crossbow strings now doing the odd compound string

I would like to learn how to make my own strings. I looked it up on youtube and they make it look easy. I'm sure there must be a lot of trial and error.

Very easy to make endless loops. Munch makes the jig and sent a video along and had my first string build in a little over an hour. Never even reserved a string before. have about 100 shots on my first one and holding up well so far. Got 4 more in the wings waiting. Make them for most of my bows now and some for friends as well. String making may slow down now as getting into loading gun shells. LOL

I make my own flemish twist strings for myself and some of my relatives, although I am not currently selling them. If you are thinking of making your own I would start with dacron string material. The dacron is pretty cheap compared to some of the other more exotic string materials and you can work out your lengths before you make the jump to the more expensive materials. Take detailed notes on each string you make when you start out. I use the Excal wax for my string making and my string "jig" is a 2x4 with two nails in it.

I would get at least two different colors of string to start with as it is much easier to see your twists.
