getting ready for next season!!

Post by brent73 »

Well, Just got back from Benton Shooter's . Got the S5 system put on my Vortex along with a few Pro Gold Bolts. Now all that is left is a 2 person ladder stand (im about 350lbs) and that is about it.. Can't wait till next season. This is my first deer hunting season and my first Crossbow . Im so glad i went with Excalibur...
Only bad part is i only shot one doe and ended up loosing her . Im disabled and shot her around 9am Oct. 31, by the time my buddy got there to help me find her( my first deer) it was 6pm and when we found her something got too her first.. So next season ill be looking for my first buck!!
Oh and on a side note, im not sure if im going to give this coon thing a try, He has them in his freezer waiting on my lol

If you have questions fire away you will find out there are a lot of good helpfull people here, on this forum , I know i did , read past post's you'll see what i mean :D

thanks, I did start late and it was kinda my fault . I did try to find her but being my first blood trail and all, its all good though. Even though she did not put meat in my freezer, at least we did find her.
i did see a big 8+ point but did not have a good clean shot on him so had to let him walk. BUT boy was my heart pumping ...

Good luck this upcoming year. I hope to get my first deer also this year with my Vortex. I am also really glad I bought an Excalibur. I've had several family and friends cone over and shoot mine and they will buy one also this upcoming year.

Good Shooting!
