Trying to make the Slick Trick 125gr Magnums work

Post by jcollins0001 »

Trying to make the Slick Trick 125gr Magnums work with my standard firebolt bolts that come with the lite-stuff package that have Aluminum inserts ...

I got my Equinox with DLX scope and Lite stuff package friday.

Enjoyed the nice weather in Virginia Saturday trying it out in the backyard.
Sighted in nicely with field points.

Question for those of you that are using Slick Trick 125 gr Magnums ...

What bolts are you using as well as fletching and weight...

Thanks,

Jeff

I'm using the AZ easy fletch...the one for aluminum arrows, works fine on firebolts.

I just bought and tried the shrink wrap with Blazer veins and put then on my Carbon Express crossbolts and they fly great with 100 gr. Magnum. Good Luck

I recently purchased some Firebolts without the front insert from Danny Miller. I then put some 110 grain Goldtip laser 2 brass inserts into them. Those flew excellent with my 100 grain standard Slick Trick. If you want to stick with the stock aluminum inserts then I would recommend the Excalibur Boltcutter or the 145 grain Steel Force Phathead.
