With the stock Firebolts my vote would be for the Excalibur Boltcutters or the 145 grain Steel Force Phathead.

What mchurch said - the Excal's Boltcutters are of very good quality; certainly can't go wrong with them. Priced quite well also.
(still trying to come up with something witty and interesting to add)

Everyone has their own opinion, I just tested 100gr. Magnums Slick Tricks for a fixed blade head they fly great out to 50 yards. I like the Rage 3 blade for a mechanical I have killed 9 deer with them they cut a hugh entry hole and exit.

Good luck with your decision

I hav also found that the Rage broadhead works great out of my Phoenix. I was having some problems with the 100 grain plaining so I swithed to the 125 and man do they work as avertised exactatly like the provided field points. I used the ones designed for the crossbow this year and seen no difference in them. But what a hole they make and I have never had anything but complete passthroughs even after hitting a rib. Good Luck

What about the X-Act mechanical?? I never hear much about these, and I was thinking thats what I would use with my firebolts. Are they to light for this arrow??

I'm going to buy them and hopefully try them out next year. The Bass Pro write ups, are all positive, other than, it is important to clean them thoroughly after each use, hunters like them.

Not at all, of all the B/H I tested last year none flew better than the X-ACT (some as good but none better), they had the same POI as the 100 gr. target tip, out to 50 yards (as far as I currently test), found the head to be very durable (put the same head in to a target over 100 times & never opened in flight), on the wifes buck, with the firebolt out of her ibex at just over 30 yards, cut ribs where it entered & made a nasty hole on exit, the arrow was half way in the ground, deer went about 80 yards (the shot was alittle back in the rib cage)
The price is on the high side, but we been very happy with them. :D

Nice to hear some positive replies about the X-Act. Going to go pick some up. :)
