How long did you have to leave it outside to get the orange to disappear ?

Hmm...mine never had orange on it. The dots on mine were always a fluorescent yellow, but after having it out in the sun for 3 summers they sorta have turned to a white.

Shipping isn't too crazy as it comes in a small light package.

BTW, mine is in the basement and I've been beating it up for over a year and it still looks good.
Thanks Boo ! I just emailed them.
shipping cost more than the bags. For whatever reason he does not seem to want to ship by regular USPS.

Wyvern creations has the bags for making your own rag targets. Maybe you'll have better luck with him.Third hand bag target is what it's called if my memory serves me but sometimes it doesn't.

I've put quite a few shots into this target I bought at Canadian Tire for $50 and you can turn it around to use the other side. Being that it is filled with cloth, it will not take broadheads, only field points, I've shot at it from 20 out to 50 with no trouble. I will be buying a Rinehart next though.

Re: Good all around target
I have several bag targets and an 18-1. I tried the layered foam and found them all lacking once you use bheads on them.
A Morrel bag and an 18-1 is as good as it gets. [IMHO]

Morrell definitely make a good target.
I use the one below for field points.

So from everything I have been reading here and other sites, even though the 18-1 can handle both FP and BH's, most people still seem to also have a bag target for FP's. This confuses me, why not just use both on the 18-1???? Am I missin something??

In my case it was convenience, Canadian Tire is a stone's throw from my house and for $50 I was shooting my Xbow a couple days after I got it. After some research I learnt about the Rinehart, but it is twice the price. IMO now, I would say it's the better buy for sure, the Rinehart!

Re: Good all around target
Bag targets are so much easier to pull arrows from. Two finger removal mostly.
Re: Good all around target
So to find out if my BH's have the same POI as my FP's, I pretty well have no choice than to buy something that can handle both. If your BH and FP's have the same POI, do you guys still practice with BH's before hunting season or only with the FP's ???

G'DAY A GRAIN SACK FULL OF RAGS IT PULLS UP A 225 LB BOLT NO PROBLEM & LAST'S & LAST'S & ALSO VERY EASY TO REMOVE YOUR BOLTS WITH 2 FINGERS ONLY..
JUST FIGHTING TO SURVIVE..
Re: Good all around target
I most certainly practise with bh before hunting season and during. I have an old foam bh target as well that I'm still beating up on. When that wears out then I'll decide on my next target.Bullzeye wrote: If your BH and FP's have the same POI, do you guys still practice with BH's before hunting season or only with the FP's ???
I shoot enough to warrant two targets.

Re: Good all around target
This is a pretty good target i found on ebay, and for the price it's hard to beat.
It is fp's only, I have a 25 lb bag of rags that I bought from a local hardware store,
for about 20 or 30 bucks, I just painted some circles on it, fp's only.

Re: Good all around target
As others have stated, you can't beat the rhino. I have had the rhino block style for three years and used both field points and broadheads and It's hard to tell how many more years it will go. It's holding up great. I also have a Morrell crossbow bag that I shoot more with field points just because it's easier to pull them out of. I like having both. One to sight in with field points and shoot just for fun but right before season I will break out the rhino for fine tuning on broadheads if needed.
